‘Tis the season to get lit up, neighbor!
We know we will have a brand new winner this year! Will your home win the title this year?
This year’s Light Up night is going to be great! So far, so bright! We have about 17 homes lit up so far, but it’s a far cry from our record 61 homes two years ago!! This year's theme is A String of Hope and we are asking everyone to put up at least one strand of lights to help make Boulder Walk shine this holiday season! Let’s beat our record of 61 homes and light the way for Boulder Walk and all of our neighbors into a better new year for everyone!
Boulder Walk’s 4th Annual Light Up Night Festivities
Sunday, December 13 | 7:00pm-8:00pm | Boulder Walk Court
Bring some holiday spirits and join us for all kinds of holiday sweets and treats, some great holiday music, a sing-along, 50/50 raffle, our new community tree and of course the big announcement of this year’s decoration winners! Don’t worry about the cold, we’ll have lots of hot beverages and have the fire going to keep everyone warm (and of course marshmallows to roast as well!)
Holiday Lights and Décor Judging
Judging will be held on Saturday evening, December 12 between 6:00pm and 10:00pm. So make sure you have your lights on during that time in order to be considered for the awards. See the rules on the left for more details! Good luck!
Boulder Walk Community Tree | A New Community Tradition
This year we will be planting a living Community Tree to help us celebrate the holidays year after year. While the tree will be tiny this year, it will eventually grow to be 50 foot tall and it will be a reminder of our community strength, spirit and growth in the coming years. Help us decorate our first Boulder Walk Community Tree by bringing an ornament that is a representation of you, your family or your home!
Holiday 50/50 Raffle
We will be having a 50/50 raffle during our Light Up Night festivities! A 50/50 is a raffle where the winner takes 50% of the take. So the more tickets we sell, the bigger the prize will be for the winner and the more we will raise money for our big spring block party/event. Tickets will be available from various volunteers so be sure to bring a couple of one’s (or more) to get in on the action! The drawing will be held at 8:00pm and the winner needs to be present!
Boulder Walk Holiday Food and Clothing/Toy Drive
It’s been a really difficult year for so many people in Atlanta this year. Let’s show that Boulder Walk cares! Please bring any non-perishable food or gently worn clothing to donate on Light Up Night to help us make a worthy donation to two local nonprofits this holiday season. Atlanta Union Mission is a soup kitchen/shelter that is need of food and Families First is a women’s/children’s shelter in need of all types of clothing. If you would like to make a donation and can’t make it to Light Up Night, please email us and we will gladly make arrangements for you to drop your donations off right here in the community.
We wish everyone a warm, safe and very happy holiday season! We'll see you on Sunday! Darren Ryan
